Managing Partner
Robert J. Curcio (R.J.) became a partner in 2022 after joining Curcio & Casciato during his time in law school. R.J. focuses his practice on personal injury, wrongful death, trucking accidents, automobile accidents, and premises liability litigation. R.J. has also worked for another prominent plaintiff’s firm in the Chicago area and was a judicial extern to the Honorable Edward Harmening (Ret.) during law school. These experiences provides him with a unique, insider advantage in representing personal injury clients.
In his time as a plaintiff’s attorney, RJ has had numerous newsworthy results including a $30 million settlement on behalf of a mother and daughter who were struck in a crosswalk by a commercial vehicle, a $9.125 settlement for a wrongful death case in the Central District of Illinois, a $5.5 million settlement on behalf of a woman who became pinned two parked vehicles when a tractor-trailer off-tracked striking the parked vehicles, a $3.7 million verdict for a woman rear-ended by a vehicle fleeing the Chicago Police Department, and $1.5 million for a teenager who lost his leg in a train collision. R.J. handles cases throughout the entire state of Illinois.
Every year since 2021 R.J. has been named an Emerging Lawyer, an award presented to the top 2.5% of attorneys in the State of Illinois with less than 10 years of experience. Additionally, R.J. has received the recognition of Rising Star, awarded by SuperLawyers with similar qualifications. R.J. is a member of the Board of Advocates for the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association where he regularly contributes his time to working with other members of the Plaintiff’s bar to advocate for the rights of those injured due to the negligence of others.
R.J.’s practice is focused on representing victims of trucking accidents, medical and nursing home malpractice, construction accidents, products liability, and car accidents. R.J. believes that the center of a successful case is first building a strong attorney-client relationship with he countless personal injury and wrongful death clients he has represented successfully through the judicial process.
Outside of the office, R.J. enjoys playing basketball, exploring the city that raised him, and working with various charities within Chicago to help the community he grew up with.
