$200,000 Settlement
Plaintiff had a history of malnutrition and decubitus ulcers. While in the care of the defendant nursing home, Plaintiff developed a sacral ulcer that closed and reopened several times for over one year. After treatment by outside medical personnel, it was determined that the wound was infected and would never properly heal.
$325,000 Settlement
Plaintiff, an 86 year old woman, identified as a high risk for falling, was left unattended in an unlocked wheelchair by a nurse’s aide. The Plaintiff fell out of the chair and fell a second time when she attempted to get back into the chair hitting her head, sustaining injuries which ultimately led to her death.
