Personal Injury Attorney Robert J. Curcio
Robert J. Curcio was named an attorney at Curcio Law Offices after working for the firm as a law clerk since 2017. He concentrates his practice on catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice, and nursing home liability.
RJ received his law degree from The John Marshall Law School in December 2017. Throughout his time in law school, RJ worked as a teaching assistant for torts, contracts and lawyering skills and was a student representative for Bar-bri. He also worked for another high profile personal injury firm for one year and spent one semester as a judicial extern for the Honorable Edward Harmening of the Circuit Court of County; opportunities which provided him with a strong understanding of the court system and the factors judges take into consideration as they make their rulings.
RJ honed the skills he learned from his employment experiences as a member of several trial teams throughout law school where he enjoyed much success. As a first year law student, he was a member of the winning team and was recognized as having the “Best Opening Statement.” He participated on several additional teams in his second and third years of law school ultimately competing in the National Trial Advocacy Competition where the team placed second in the nation.
In his associate role at Curcio Law Offices, RJ has authored and argued dispositive motions, both for trial and pre-trial work, which has given him an in-depth understanding of the key issues in plaintiffs’ trial work. His assistance conducting legal research for motions in limine, jury selection and instructions, focus group work, and other trial needs has proven to be an invaluable asset to the litigation team at Curcio Law Offices.
Mr. Curcio is active in the legal community with membership to the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the American Association of Justice.
RJ earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Education from University of Miami and is a native of Chicago where he attended St. Ignatius College Prep High School.
