Patrick J. Blum Associate
Chicago Personal Injury Attorney Patrick J. Blum
Patrick J. Blum is an associate attorney with Curcio Law Offices. Since joining the firm in 2011, Mr. Blum has successfully represented families and individuals in personal injury litigation, including medical malpractice, wrongful death, traumatic brain and spinal injuries, product liability claims, premises liability cases and a variety of motor vehicle liability matters. Patrick’s tenacious work ethic and intense dedication to his case work allow him to consistently return favorable results for his clients.
Prior to joining Curcio Law Offices, Mr. Blum was an associate attorney at Magana, Cathcart & McCarthy in Los Angeles, a firm that pioneered aviation law on the West Coast. He started his career at Masry & Vititoe in Westlake Village, California, the firm famously portrayed in the film Erin Brockovich. These positions allowed Patrick to achieve a great deal of success in the courtroom while fostering his passion for serving his clients. The privilege to represent victims of traumatic brain injuries, burn injuries, and spinal injuries allowed Mr. Blum to truly appreciate the unique needs of each client on a more personal level.
Mr. Blum’s achievements have continued to flourish since joining Curcio Law Offices. Patrick recently secured a $3,000,000 settlement – signifying the policy limit – for a bicyclist who was run down by a drunk driver and suffered severe and permanent mental and physical disability. He also worked with Senior Partner Joseph R. Curcio to procure a record high settlement for a pedestrian accident in Winnebago County; the $900,000 settlement was awarded to the family of a 9 year-old boy that was run over and killed by a school bus.
Mr. Blum is active in the legal community with membership to the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice.
Patrick is an alumnus of Purdue University and currently resides in the Northwest Suburbs with his wife and young son.
